Kate HudsonKate Hudson and Owen Wilson’s spokespeople have denied the rumours that the couple got engaged earlier in the month.

Yesterday the News of the World claimed the couple had got engaged and Owen had presented Kate with a diamond solitaire ring, which she was spotted wearing in Boston - but Kate’s spokesperson insists the ring is just a prop: “She’s shooting a movie called Bride Wars, which explains the ring.”

“She’s definitely not engaged.”

The couple have yet to confirm that they’re back together after splitting a year ago but have been spotted and photographed together on a number of occasions since February.
