amy winehouseAmy Winehouse has been told she will not face charges over her infamous crack smoking video.

The footage came to light in January and last week the singer voluntarily submitted herself to arrest and questioning over the incident. She was bailed to return for further questioning and possible charging next month but now the Crown Prosecution Service has decided that “no further action” will be taken in the case against her.

Amy’s spokesperson confirmed the news this afternoon saying: “Amy is pleased to be able to move on.

“She particularly looks forward to seeing her fans again at eagerly-awaited festival performances this summer.”

Amy is believed to have been questioned as part of a large case concerning the use of drugs on the celebrity partying circuit in London. Peaches Geldof is also expected to be questioned after she was taped seemingly engaging in a transaction with drug dealers.
