Pete Wentz: Ashlee Simpson flashed me the first time we hung out

Pete Wentz has revealed he followed now-fiancee Ashlee Simpson around “like a puppy dog” before they started dating in 2006.

He told Los Angeles radion station 98.7 recently: “I was in the ‘friend zone’ with her for a good solid year. I spent a long time in the ‘friend zone.’

“I’d be calling her and following her around like a puppy dog.”

But it’s not like she didn’t lead him on somewhat: “The first time we really hung out she flashed me.”

The couple, who are said to be expecting their first child together, are reportedly set to marry in a “top secret” location this weekend. They announced their engagement last month.
