Kiefer Sutherland finally divorced - 9 years after splitting from wife

Kiefer Sutherland is officially single again, four years after filing for divorce from wife Elizabeth Kelly Winn Sutherland.

The couple married in 1996 and separated in 1999 but didn’t file for divorce until 2004. Court papers issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday show that the divorce was finalised on Friday on the basis of “irreconcilable differences”.

No details of the settlement have been made public but Elizabeth is expected to drop the ‘Sutherland’ name. The couple did not have any children during their three years together but the marriage made Kiefer a step-father to Elizabeth’s sons Timothy and Julian. Kiefer has a biological daughter and another step-child from previous relationships.
