Colin Farrell: weight loss is “all very healthy”
Colin Farrell has dismissed speculation that his recent weight loss is a sign of trouble in his life.
In late 2005, a similarly thin Colin checked into a rehab programme to seek treatment for his use of recreational drugs and painkillers but this time the actor insists the weight loss is simple for his next film role in Triage: “I lost weight because my role demanded it. It was all very healthy.”
He didn’t give any details about how he had slimmed down but quoted a line from the novel on which the film is based: “He went to the bathroom to shave. Once his beard was gone, he saw that his face had become drawn. He pressed at the hollows beneath his eyes, the pronounced nubs of his cheek bones.”
