miley cyrusBilly Ray Cyrus has said he’s so proud of how daughter Miley Cyrus is handling fame - especially when scandal hits.

He told OK magazine recently: “I can’t imagine being her age and going through what she went through [with the Vanity Fair pictures]. I’m amazed she kept on.

“I know the business can eat you alive, but I’m a calloused old veteran, and she’s a young, teenage girl. It’s a heck of a storm to survive even with maturity.”

Both father and daughter are working on the forthcoming Hannah Montana movie and have also been working on their own studio albums too - but Billy admits he worries Miley is doing too much: “I tell her to get some sleep. I swear I would try to protect her as far as sleep goes.”
