heather millsHeather Mills is reportedly planning a £250,000 holiday for her and 25 friends to celebrate her divorce from Paul McCartney.

The couple were granted their decree nisi on 12th May, with the decree absolute finalising the divorce set to follow after around six weeks and according to the Sunday Mirror, Heather wants to celebrate the legal end of their marriage with a luxury holiday, even though she hasn’t yet received her financial settlement from the former Beatle.

A source told the newspaper that Heather’s been telling friends she’s had to remortgage one of her homes to pay for the 7 night break on Richard Branson’s private Necker Island in the Caribbean: “She said she was going to remortgage one of her houses to pay for it, although no one believed that for a moment. There’s no doubt this is all down to the Macca millions she’s about to collect.

“She felt, ‘Why should I wait for the money to come through’ and just booked it. She knows she’s not exactly going to be scraping for cash in a few months.”

The break will cost the former model £24,000 a night before flights and other expenses but the source added that Heather wants to thank her friends for their “unfaltering support” throughout her divorce proceedings and thinks the expense will be worth it: “Heather was insistent she wanted somewhere she couldn’t be photographed. She didn’t care about the cost… all that mattered was they’d be completely alone.”

The group will include her siblings Fiona and Shane, various friends and key members of her staff such as personal trainer Ben Amigoni and make-up artist Mark Payne. Daughter Beatrice is expected to stay with dad Paul for the duration of the break.
