Anna Maria, who plays Ashley on the show, told E! that the reaction “really hurt her inside. She didn’t know that people would look at it like that.

“Sometimes I’ll talk to her on the phone and she’ll be like, ‘It’s really hard’ or ‘I’m really tired. I can’t do this.’

“But I’ll always say, ‘You do want to do this. You love your job.’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah.’”

The scandal, which broke at the end of April, came shortly after a set of personal photos were leaked with Miley showing off her bra and draping herself across a teenage boy - and the 15 year old is about to become embroiled in another media storm after photos emerged of her posing sexily, her pulled up top held in her mouth, and reportedly labelled “For Nick Jonas‘ eyes only”.

A source close to the story is quoted as saying: “Miley’s growing up so it’s only natural that she’s wanting to experiment with her sexuality. But she has not realise she’s not a normal teenage girl and she either has to stop taking these photos or accept that they’ll be leaked and she’ll get flack for it.”
