Coleen McLoughlinColeen McLoughlin and Wayne Rooney are reportedly planning an extravagant release of butterflies to be the centrepiece of their forthcoming wedding.

The couple are said to be planning to marry at a former 14th century monastery on the Italian riveria next month and will present their fifty guests with a small box tied with ribbon, containing a Two-Tailed Pasha butterfly.

A source told the Sun: “The butterfly release will make everyone gasp with amazement. It’s a beautiful sight, the day is going to be magical. They’ve chosen the Riviera’s most picturesque spot.”

“Releasing the butterflies symbolises the freedom to be their own people within marriage.

“Coleen’s keen to still be seen as successful in her own right after the wedding.”

The source added that the venue does not have papal permission as a wedding venue for a Catholic ceremony so the couple will marry at a civil service in Cheshire a week earlier. Several days of celebrations in the area are said to be planned, with the entire event .
