According to OK magazine, Britney and dad Jamie Spears decided they were going to hold a BBQ for close family and friends at Britney’s Studio City home in The Summit gated community, with sons Sean & Jayden as the guests of honour during one of their twice-weekly visits.

An inside source told the magazine: “She started setting up around 1pm for what was intended to be an all-out bash.”

But showers and low temperatures - just 15℃ - forced the group to abandon the party early and Sean & Jayden were returned to dad Kevin Federline’s home at 5pm.

A second source added: “She’s been doing so well recently that everyone was up for a fun time to celebrate the start of summer - but summer wasn’t interested in attending.”

Britney spent last year’s Memorial Day weekend partying slightly hard - she was reportedly found vomiting in the men’s toilets at a Beverly Hills hotel bar.
