Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis: I thought I’d die before the age of 30
Sex and the City star Kristin Davis has revealed she thought she would die before the age of 30 because of her alcoholism.
The actress, now 43, gave up drinking after a stint in rehab at the age of 22 and explained recently that in her worst period: “I really didn’t think I would pass 30.
“I drank a lot when I was a teenager. I had a fatalistic viewpoint.”
After 20 years of sobriety, she’s careful to avoid temptation but added that it’s not been easy to stay off alcohol, especially when fans of the show send her Cosmpolitan cocktails as gifts: “I miss it. You don’t go to rehab and then suddenly it goes away.”
Sex And The City: The Movie is released in the UK today and in the US on Friday.
