amy winehouseAmy Winehouse’s supposedly clean-living one-time boyfling Alex Haines has reportedly been fired after he admitted taking drugs.

Alex was hired as an assistant to Amy’s manager to help be a calming and good influence on the singer but according to the Mirror has been fired after he was filmed smoking crack-cocaine.

A source told the newspaper: “Alex was caught bang to rights. There was no mistaking from looking at the film that he was taking drugs. It was a shock to everyone.

“The boss went mental and Alex was asked to resign. The last thing Amy needs hanging around her are more users.

“Alex was supposed to help her and he crossed the line. He had to go.”

Amy and Alex were rumoured to have had a month-long affair and her family were pleased about the relationship, hoping it would help Amy turn her back on drugs - but the source added that the fling caused more problems for the star with imprisoned husband Blake Fielder-Civil: “Alex was a good friend to Amy but he caused massive rows for her with Blake. He couldn’t stand hearing they were sleeping together.”
