Joe is believed to have caused problems between Jessica and on-off boyfriend Tony Romo by suggesting they get engaged so “I can do the same [sell it] that I did with Ashlee”, and also trying to become Dallas Cowboys star Tony’s media manager.

Joe told Us Weekly: “It’s unfair to criticize me for what every manager does for his or her clients.

“And in this business, where people can quickly turn on you, who better than a parent to be working for his children?”

Jessica and Tony are said to be taking tentative steps into renewing their relationship, while Ashlee married her baby-father-to-be Pete Wentz last month.
