Hilary Duff: people don’t want to me change - but I have to
Hilary Duff has said she finds it hard moving away from her teen roles - because people don’t want her to.
Hilary rose to fame as the eponymous heroine of Disney show Lizzie McGuire and even though the series finished four years ago, people still think of her as a teen role model - which makes it difficult for her to take more adult roles, such as the foul-mouthed pop star she plays in new political satire War Inc..
She told AOL recently: “It’s scary having moms come up to you all the time saying, ‘We love you. Never change. Never ever change.’ And I’m like, ‘OK, but I have to change.’
“That’s not a fair thing to say to anyone. It kind of scared me. But [at the same time, I was] a little like, ‘Oh my god what are the kids going to think?’”
The film, which also stars John Cusack, Dan Aykroyd and Marisa Tomei, was released in the US last week.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
