Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis: I’m not marriage-obsessed like Charlotte was

Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis has revealed she was pretty much the opposite of her character Charlotte when she was growing up.

She told Parade recently: “I’d love to find someone to fall in love with but I’m not as traditional as Charlotte. I’m not completely marriage-obsessed like Charlotte was.”

In fact, during her childhood and teen years living in South Carolina, the idea of marriage used to bug her: “There was a lot of pressure that you marry well and that you marry relatively young. If you didn’t you were kind of left out.

“It made me angry because why was that the be all and end all for a young woman? I think that women should be free to do whatever they want to do. I just haven’t found the right person.”
