Zara PhillipsZara Phillips and fiance Mike Tindall have reportedly finally got engaged and set themselves a wedding date.

Zara, the eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and 11th in line to the throne, is said to have secretly got engaged to her rugby playing boyfriend last year but has not wanted to announce the news until after this summer’s Olympic Games as she is part of the British equestrian team for the event.

A source told the Daily Mail though that plans are already afoot for the ceremony and the couple are currently planning to marry next May in St George’s Chapel in Windsor, where her brother Peter Phillips married Autumn Kelly last month - but unlike Peter and Autumn, they’re unlikely to sell the pictures to a magazine.

The source explained: “They can’t wait to get married. Zara loves St George’s Chapel and Frogmore, where her brother had his reception, but the logistics aren’t yet finalised.

“To be honest it’s not her style having Hello! [there] and all the cameras at Peter’s wedding caused a bit of a stink. Having said that, it was well stage-managed and Zara will be using it as a blueprint for catering and security.”
