amy winehouseAmy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil reportedly offered a fellow prison inmate £20,000 to attack Pete Doherty.

Richard Lyttle met Blake earlier this year in Pentonville Prison and told the Sun this week that Blake was convinced Doherty was both sleeping with Amy and supplying her with drugs.

Richard told the Sun: “We were sitting in my cell and he said, ‘If you get Doherty for me I’ll give you £20,000′.

“He kept saying, ‘Can you arrange it?’ and telling me to get some guys to his house. He knew the address. He said, ‘Amy’s obviously sleeping with him’.

“He knew I used to be a doorman and knew some tough people. He said he wanted him smashed to pieces.”

Richard, who had been on remand for murder, was later released without charge but told the newspaper that Blake kept calling him from a secret mobile about the job, forcing Richard to contact first the police then the press.

Earlier this week, Blake pleaded guilty to the assault of pub landlord James King and a conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. Blake and his co-defendant Michael Brown made the admission during a pre-trial hearing at Snaresbrook Crown Court.

Yesterday, the court heard that Blake had used Amy’s money in his attempt to pay off King and have the assault charge thrown out. Two middlemen, Anthony Kelly and James Kennedy, also asked for £20,000 each for their role in covering up the attack.

According to the prosecution, the two men met a Daily Mirror reporter in October 2007 about selling footage of the original attack and admitted the attempted cover-up. When asked if Amy knew about the situation, journalist Stephen Moyes “was told by Kelly, “Who do you think is paying for it? Of course she is”.

Amy was questioned by police over the case but there was no evidence to suggest she was involved in the conspiracy.

The hearing is set to continue this week, with Blake’s sentencing set to take place later in the month.
