The Coldplay frontman married Gwyneth Paltrow in 2003 and the couple now have two children together, four year old daughter Apple and two year old son Moses, and Chris told Rolling Stone magazine recently that he had always hoped he’d marry a strong woman: “I always felt it would be great to be with a very powerful woman because it would keep you in your place.

“Being married to someone very successful and very powerful basically keeps you hungry to improve.”

And his wife’s previous engagement to Brad Pitt certainly aids that hunger: “You’ve got to be hungry. If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you’d want to prove yourself, you know what I mean?”
