Britney SpearsBritney Spears is reportedly planning move out of her home in the Hollywood Hills as part of her ongoing efforts to leave her troubled period behind.

Britney has lived in The Summit private community in Studio City since splitting from husband Kevin Federline in late 2006 but she is said to want a greater degree of privacy for when she wins back regular custody of her growing sons, Sean and Jayden. The house is also where she held Jayden hostage in January after a visitation session, requiring police and legal intervention to return the boy to his father.

According to reports, Britney is “looking like crazy” for a new property in a gated community in Calabasas in the San Fernando Valley and has been hanging around in one community’s gym after falling for a particular home - but has yet to finalised any deals.

A source explained: “Britney’s doing everything she can to move on emotionally and she thinks moving out of The Summit will help that.

“Living in Calabasas will put her closer to Kevin and the kids in Tarzana too and she thinks that’ll be a good thing as well.”

In related news, newly released court documents have shown how much Britney’s dad Jamie Spears had to do for his daughter in the early days of her conservatorship.

Jamie submitted the documents at the start of May to justify the money he’s being paid to look after the singer.

The documents show that as well as managing her medical care and legal & business affairs, he was a hands-on carer during February and March. He lists running errands, buying groceries, organising her security & trips out of the house, monitored her social life, “cooking supper on a regular basis” and “spent a good deal of time every day conversing with Britney”.

Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet’s conservatorship of the star is in place until the end of July but may be extended again if deemed necessary.
