Paris HiltonParis Hilton was reportedly less than pleased when a pet store in Beverly Hills refused to sell her a puppy at the weekend.

The socialite, who has previously claimed to have 17 dogs, is said to have headed into The Puppy Store on Melrose Avenue for a new pooch.

A source told the New York Post that Paris was on the way to a photo shoot and “wanted a puppy in the picture with her so it would look cuter.”

She fell for a Yorkshire Terrier but when she tried to buy it, was refused the dog by an employee who believed it was clearly “an impulse buy”.

According to the onlooker, Paris then went “ballistic”: “She started screaming, ‘I love my puppies! I want my baby!’”

The store refused to comment on the incident.
