Sienna Miller trying to avoid reading about her split from Rhys Ifans
Sienna Miller has said she’s trying to avoid media coverage of her split from Rhys Ifans because it makes it hard to move on.
Speaking at the Edinburgh premiere of her new film The Edge of Love last night, she said: “It’s everywhere. I try not to read it, but it’s hard not to. I don’t want to go, ‘Woe is me in suffering’, but it’s not easy for me.”
She refused to give any details on the couple’s current status or the reasons for their split, saying: “I’m sorry, but I can’t.
“I have this habit [of talking too much], I’m such a people pleaser, and out of insecurity.
“I think that all people care about is my private life. They don’t want to read about my opinions of film or f***king politics.
“I feel like I’ve indulged that need for approval for too long. It’s no one’s business any more. It’s too hurtful. I have to learn to censor myself.”
However in another recent interview, the actress hinted that she’d changed her mind about settling down with Rhys - who was said to be keen to marry and start a family with the Factory Girl star.
She explained: “I really thought I was very ready to settle down, but then I realised I wanted to be selfish for just a little bit longer.
“When I have a child, it will be probably become my whole life, so I don’t want to have any regrets that I should have done more. But I’m only 26, I have plenty of time.”
Sienna and Rhys are believed to have finished their year long relationship at the start of this month.
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
