Darren Day has been charged with drink-driving after being pulled over in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The West End musical star was spotted driving erratically in the centre of Cardiff around 2am when he was stopped by police. He failed a field breath test and was taken into custody.

An onlooker told the Sun: “I saw two cop cars stop him in his big Mercedes. He was ordered out. He was wearing a long dark coat and was alone.

“Then he was put in one of the police cars and driven off.”

Darren was charged with the driving offence and bailed in court at the start of next month.
