Sarah Jessica Parker at the Sex and the City premiere in New YorkVivienne Westwood has revealed she was less than impressed with Sex And The City: The Movie even though one of her dresses is featured so prominently it’s practically one of the leading ladies.

The infamous fashion designer is repeatedly namechecked throughout the film and Carrie wears one of her dresses for the wedding that doesn’t happen - but Vivienne has now said she thought stylist Patricia Field’s costume and design decisions weren’t that great - at least at the start of the film.

She’s quoted as saying: “I thought Sex and the City was supposed to be about cutting-edge fashion and there was nothing remotely memorable or interesting about what I saw.

“I went to the premiere and left after ten minutes.”
