Wayne is said to have booked a suite at a luxury hotel overlooking the marina in Portofino on the Italy Riveria, close to where the couple married last Thursday.

A source close to the couple told the Sun: “What could be more romantic? Some locals suggested the couple might buy a permanent holiday home there.”

The couple married in an intimate civil service in a 17th century palace, the Villa Durazzo, before moving onto a larger scale Catholic blessing at a former monastery, La Cervera, in the area.
