sarah hardingGirls Aloud star Sarah Harding has reportedly been dumped by her boyfriend after he got jealous of her friendship with several of the band’s male dancers.

A source told the Mirror that Sarah is “devastated” about the split after a year with DJ Tom Crane: “It is a really sad situation but Tom has definitely walked out on Sarah,” said a friend of the DJ.

“It is extremely difficult dating a pop star and they were apart for huge amounts of time. He does his own thing and couldn’t really join her when she was on tour.

“Sarah was constantly linked with other men and, even though it’s always been perfectly innocent, he found it tough.

“All the girls are incredibly close to their backing dancers - they’ve become like family. Sarah tried to reassure Tom nothing was going on [but] unfortunately it wasn’t enough and Sarah’s been left single and devastated.”

The women finished the arena part of the Tangled Up tour at the start of this month but are set to perform at numerous music festivals and outdoor events during the rest of the summer.

The source added that Sarah’s bandmates have been incredibly supportive - especially fellow newly-single Nicola Roberts who split up with long-term boyfriend Carl Davis last month: “The rest of the girls have been great. They’re sad about the split but are making sure Sarah keeps her chin up.”
