ricky wilsonKaiser Chief frontam Ricky Wilson has said he’d much rather perform a gig for thousands of people than repeat the experience of having to do a best man’s speech at a friend’s wedding.

Speaking at the Isle of Wight Festival last weekend after the Leeds band’s headlining performance on Friday night, Ricky told the Sun: “Doing the speech was the most horrifying thing I’ve ever done. It really freaked me out about weddings.

“It was more nerve-wracking than playing in front of thousands of people here. I got all sweaty and my voice went really high-pitched. I was like Hugh Grant, stuttering and everything.”
