steven tylerSteven Tyler has explained more about his decision to enter rehab last month, saying he didn’t like who he’d become using medication.

The Aerosmith frontman checked into the Las Encinas medical facility in California in May and later admitted that he’d developed a dependency on pain and sleep medication after operations on his feet.

He told the Associated Press on Friday: “To have your feet done, to have your leg done, you have to be on narcotics. You have to be on sleep aids at night.”

Steven had previously spent time in rehab for substance abuse in the mid-1980s and he said with the medical permission to use drugs again: “I was off and running and I didn’t like the me that was me.

“This was a month ago, so I just put the brakes on and checked into detox and just pulled the plug on all of it.”
