charlotte churchCharlotte Church and Gavin Henson christened their daughter Ruby in a private ceremony for friends and family yesterday.

Around 20 guests were invited to the event at St Mary of the Angels Church in Cardiff - followed by a garden party for around 200 back at their Vale of Glamorgan country home.

The Catholic service was carried out by Father Christopher Delaney, who had christened Charlotte herself when she was a baby, and said afterwards: “It was a really lovely service.”

Photos of the 40 minute ceremony and after-party are said to have been sold to a magazine for £50,000.

The 22 year old singer gave birth to Ruby, her first child, last September and earlier this month announced that she is pregnant with the couple’s next child. Speaking after the pregnancy announcement, she said that she and fiance Gavin wanted a “rubgy team” of around six children by the time she is 32.
