Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively on how people fall in love with co-stars
Gossip Girl Blake Lively has said it’s a myth that people fall in love with their co-stars on set.
Blake, who is dating co-star Penn Badgley, told Seventeen magazine recently that love only really happens “when they kiss off the set”: “Because it’s definitely not romantic on the set, that’s for sure.
“When you’re saying these words that people are making you say to one another, nothing about it is real or genuine.
“So if two people connect outside their characters, then that’s how they get together.”
She added that she found it easy to bond with Penn because he’s so entertaining: “Penn does these silly dance moves, and he’s very witty and quick, so it’s fun to have sharp banter with him.”
The couple have been dating since late last year.
