amanda seyfriedLindsay Lohan’s Mean Girls co-star Amanda Seyfried has said she’s not surprised the actress is struggling to handle her life in the limelight.

Amanda, who stars in the big screen adaptation of Mamma Mia!, explained that during her eight years in the business, she’s seen a lot of fellow former child actors go the same way: “I’ve met some people who are just so freaking distraught and who don’t know how to handle it, and I’ve met some who have their head on straight and are really happy. You try to stick around them.

“I kind of don’t expect some of these girls, who’ve been working since they were two, to be sane. This business is just weird when you’re young.”

But she added that she had great fun working with Lindsay on the 2004 hit film: “Lindsay was great on Mean Girls. I think that was before she got a little nuts.”
