Madonna to give Guy Ritchie country estate in divorce?

Madonna has reportedly agreed that husband Guy Ritchie can have their English country estate if the couple divorce.

Madonna bought the 1200-acre estate in Wiltshire in 2001 shortly after the couple married and indulged in various country pursuits including horse-riding for the next few years. But recently the singer is said to have tired of the idea of being an English lady and was looking to sell the property earlier this year.

However, a source has told the Daily Mail that she now has other plans for the £8million home: “It looks as though they are dividing up their assets.

“They never had a pre-nup in place before they married and so there have inevitably been discussions about what would happen to their estate should they split.

“Madonna bought the property out of her own pocket seven years ago because Guy didn’t have the cash.

“But now he has paid her back and the deal is that if they separate he gets the house. He loves the property and it’s very much his retreat.

“Madonna has agreed that Guy can have the country house as part of a settlement. She used to love it in the countryside, but she’s lost interest.

“It’s very much Guy’s solace and where he goes to shoot and relax with friends.”

Last month sources close to the couple claimed that they were on the verge of separation and planning to divorce later in the year at the end of Madonna’s forthcoming world tour. Madonna’s spokesperson has denied the claims.
