Nicole Kidman’s dad explains the reason for Sunday Rose’s name
Nicole Kidman’s dad has explained why his newest granddaughter is called Sunday Rose.
Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, Nicole’s daughter with husband Keith Urban, arrived on Monday morning and Nicole’s dad Anthony Kidman told the Daily Telegraph in Australia that it’s not that she was expected to arrive a few hours earlier - the name is a tribute to an artist’s muse from the early 20th century, Sunday Reed.
Anthony explained: “I have read a bit about Sunday Reed… She was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century.
“The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it.”
He added that the baby’s middle name, Rose, is for Keith’s late grandmother.
