Tom Cruise sends new mum Nicole Kidman room-full of flowers

Nicole Kidman has reportedly been sent “enough flowers to fill a room” by ex-husband Tom Cruise, to celebrate the birth of her daughter Sunday earlier this week.

Nicole and husband Keith Urban welcomed the baby girl into the world on Monday morning at a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee and a source told the Mirror: “She has had hundreds of bouquets of flowers from well-wishers.

“Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room. Even Australia’s Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, sent her a hand-written note.

“She’s touched and amazed by it all.”

The source added: “Nicole and Keith are besotted with their baby. Nicole wants to be a very hands-on mum and has shunned all offers of help.

“But her sister and a nanny will help out in future if needs be.”

Nicole’s sister Antonia and mum Janelle flew over from Sydney last week ahead of the birth.

that is actually a human for tom to do! GOOD BOY!!i am very happy for nic and keith and i think it is great that nic isnt letting 4 or 5 assistants raise her child!! i wish nic and keith and SUNDAY all the bet!!

Come on now. You can’t actually believe this can you? As far as being a hands on mom, only for a few weeks until she heads to London to work on Nine. Rehearsals start in August. Nannies will be involved while she’s rehearsing singing & dancing all day & then the filming begins. Her husband is supposed to be recording an album. Wonder how he’s going to be able to do that while in London when all of his guys are in Nashville? Not to mention the fact that he still has 7 shows to do in the US, the last one being in September. Once again, Nicole doesn’t take anybody else into consideration when choosing work. You’d think after finally having a baby that she’s said she always wanted, she’d take time off to just be a mother. Guess not. Right back to a film set.
