Heather Locklear finding it hard to be away from daughter

Heather Locklear said to be doing well in treatment for anxiety and depression - but is missing her 10 year old daughter Ava.

Heather checked into a facility in Arizona for treatment last month and in addition to medical treatment, has been riding horses, getting therapeutic spa treatments and spending quiet time alone.

But a source told People magazine: “The hardest part of all of this is being apart from Ava. But she knows she’ll be better than ever, and that they’ll both really benefit from this. She’s feeling better, but it’s tough.

“She looks so much better [than a week earlier].”

Ava is currently “with family and continuing on with her summer plans” while dad Richie Sambora is on tour with Bon Jovi but the source added Heather and Richie “are speaking all the time” about the girl’s ongoing welfare: “They really have come through [the breakup - and are] on the other side.”
