Michael Jackson: wheelchair-bound due to ill-health?
Michael Jackson is reportedly wheelchair-bound at least part of the time due to ill-health.
The singer, wearing pyjamas and slippers as well as his usual hat, shades and surgical mask, was recently photographed being wheeled into a Las Vegas bookshop by his minder and an onlooker told the Sun: “There are constant rumours of a Michael Jackson comeback but it was shocking to see that in reality he is a shadow of his former self.
“He seemed too weak even to get out of the chair to cross the road himself. He stayed in the store for two hours and wheeled himself around in the chair the whole time.
“The skin on his hands was peeling, almost like a snake’s. He kept his mask on all the time. His security man was at his side and nobody approached him. It is really sad.
“To be honest, he looked a bit weird wheeling himself around covered up in a surgeon’s mask and that is probably what freaked people out to not want to approach him.”
A source close to the star added that the situation isn’t uncommon: “He has days when he is fine but others when he feels listless and too weak to walk. Then he calls for the wheelchair.
“Usually on those days he also refuses to get dressed, spending all day in his pyjamas.
“There’s huge interest in a comeback, but there are doubts that Jacko can pull it off. He isn’t strong enough - mentally or physically.”
The star, who turns 50 this year, has been plagued with a number of health problems over the last fews years, including rumours that he’s been diagnosed with lupus and also intermittent problems with his back.

I feel sorry for Michael….he’s had to deal with so much in his life its not fair. Negative media is tough enough but then to have vitiligo and lupus as well just isnt right. Hes done so much for the world especially charity.

I also feel sorry for Michael, I suffer from back problems and its not funny. lupus is a horrible disease that reduces your immune system. Vitiligo is also in his family. I have actually met him and held his hand, his skin is so thin and looks like porcelain, it must be horrible to have your black identity taken away from you and even worse when the media accuse you of lying.
His children look lovely and well cared for. Its not easy trying to bring up youngsters in the public eye where everything is scrutanized.
Good luck \michael

From Access Holly Wood website..
“Is He Sick? –The Truth Behind The Latest Photos Of Michael Jackson
LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
Earlier this week, photos emerged of Michael Jackson being pushed around in a wheelchair. While headlines around the world touted the demise of the King of Pop and suggested that the Gloved One was “retiring” and “sick,” Access has the real details.
Though he was caught wearing a surgical mask, pajamas and a marine hat, according to a source close to Jackson, the star just likes dressing up in disguises.
There is, in fact, nothing wrong with him. Access’ source also says Jackson sometimes chooses to disguise himself as a burn victim.
This isn’t the first time Jackson has dressed up.
He has previously been spotted wearing a surgical mask and enjoys elaborate costumes – from top hats and tails, to military coats, when performing or making an appearance at a public event.
In 2007, reports surfaced that while in Bahrain, the star was spotted dressed up as a woman.”
