Ethan HawkeEthan Hawke’s spokesperson has confirmed that the actor has married girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes.

Rumours began to swirl last month that the Gattaca actor was planning to marry Ryan before the birth of their first child together later this summer and his publicist has now confirmed that the nuptials took place last month in New York.

Last month a source close to the couple added that they’re like to have a larger celebration for friends and family after the baby is born.

Ethan was previously married to Uma Thurmn, who last month announced her engagement to fiancier Arpad Busson. Ethan met Ryan when she worked as a nanny for Ethan’s two children with Uma, daughter Maya and son Levon.
