Pete Wentz: I’m already acting like my dad

Pete Wentz has said that he’s already turning into a dad figure, even though his baby with wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz isn’t due until later in the year.

He told On Air with Ryan Seacrest yesterday: “I’m becoming my dad, actually.

“I get up at 7 am to drive [to work] down Sunset Boulevard with traffic that I complain about. And then I come home, and I have a pregnant wife and two puppies.”

He explained his home life current consists of tending to Ashlee’s pregnancy cravings and “cleaning up puppy poop” after the couple adopted a second dog, Rigby, last month to join Pete’s beloved bulldog Hemingway.

But as humdrum as that might sound, Pete added that life as a dad-to-be is “really, really, really, really exciting”: “When I’m in the doctor’s office, I freak out – it’s this crazy thing, this thing you made.”

“It’s like making a record, but knowing you’re going to mix it for the next 18 years of your life.”
