Chris Martin defends unconventional baby names: it’s just a noise
Chris Martin has said he doesn’t see anything wrong with giving children unconventional names - like Nicole Kidman’s new daughter Sunday or his own children Apple and Moses.
The Coldplay frontman told Blender magazine recently: “People make a big fuss over names. Names of babies, names of albums, names of bands.
“There’s nothing weird about calling your baby Chewbacca if that’s what you want to call your baby. It’s no stranger than Sarah.
“A name is just a noise, and if you like it, then f**k what everyone else says.”
He added that he also flies in the face of convention when it comes to the stinkiest baby chore - he loves changing nappies: “Men should always change diapers.
“It’s a very rewarding experience. It’s mentally cleansing. It’s like washing dishes, but imagine if the dishes were your kids, so you really love the dishes.”

I don’t agree, a name is a part of you, not just noise.
