Angelina Jolie’s dad Jon Voight “over the moon” over new grandkids
Angelina Jolie’s dad Jon Voight has said he’s delighted to hear about the safe arrival of his two newest grandchildren.
Angelina gave birth to son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline at 6:27pm and 6:28pm (local time) on Saturday in Nice, France with partner Brad Pitt at her side.
Jon told Entertainment Tonight yesterday: “I am deeply happy. I’m over the moon. It’s magnificent.
“In this world, all we can hope for is that mommy and the kids are healthy. I’m very excited.”
Jon has been largely estranged from his daughter and her family since 2002 after he said she had “serious emotional problems” during a television interview - but they are reportedly making headway towards a reconcilation.
He added: “If I were called today, I’d be there.”
