The couple first married in a civil-ceremony front of just a dozen close family and friends before a lavish religious blessing for around 60 guests that afternoon - but had promised their extended family a further celebration this month in their native Liverpool.

But a source has now told the Daily Mail the plans have been cancelled after the couple’s extended honeymoon in the US and the Caribbean: “Everyone was looking forward to a big knees-up when Wayne and Coleen got back but we have been told there will be no bash.

“Because the wedding in Italy was such an intimate event, lots of the family couldn’t go but we were told there were plans for another big party that everyone would be invited to.

“Wayne and Coleen were looking at a number of different venues but now it’s all off. It’s caused a lot of bad feeling.

“Wayne and Coleen have dived straight back into their work commitments. The truth is they are a bit partied out.”
