Amy Winehouse convinced husband will be free in a week
Amy Winehouse is reportedly still convinced that beloved husband Blake Fielder-Civil will be freed from jail next week.
Blake is due to be sentenced on charges of grievous body harm and perverting the course of justice next Monday - offences that could see him jail for several years - and is said to have told Amy himself that he expects to stay in jail until autumn - but Amy is adamant that he’ll be released after the court session next week.
At Sunday’s T in the Park Festival, Amy dedicated a track to Blake, saying he’s “out in seven days” and a source told the Sun: “there’s no convincing her he won’t be freed soon. She has already texted all her friends saying Blake is on the home stretch.”
Blake has been on remand in HMP Pentonville, London since his arrest last November. Last month he pleaded guilty to the charges in a pre-trial hearing, which may have been part of a deal with prosecutors.
But, the source added, recent reports that Blake is still using heroin despite claiming to be clean are worrying Amy’s friends and family: “She’s organising a party and people are dreading it because they fear she and Blake will fall back into their old ways.”
Amy’s dad Mitch has said he hopes Blake to check into rehab as soon as he’s released from jail, for Amy’s sake if not his own.
