jake gyllenhaalJake Gyllenhaal reportedly had to agree to a set of relationship rules before he could move in with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

The couple, who began dating last summer but only went public towards the end of the year, are now said to be living together at Reese’s $5million home in Los Angeles but a source told Star magazine, Reese had a clear list of demands before the Brokeback Mountain star could move in with her and her children: “Reese believes in wide-open communication, and she discussed at length with him what is best for her household.

“Some of [the things she insists on] are run-of-the-mill. He has to take off his shoes when he’s in the house; trash must be taken out when the can is three-quarters full; and no feet on the coffee table.”

There are also requests specifically catering to Reese’s children, daughter Ava and son Deacon, from her previous marriage to Ryan Phillippe: “Jake used to swear like a sailor, but not anymore. If he does, he has to apologize.”

But the source added that even with the list of rules, Jake loves his life with Reese and the kids: “He’d much rather stay home, make popcorn and watch a movie than step foot in a club.

“So when he was looking for a girlfriend, he looked for someone who was past all that - and he found her in Reese.”

The couple have recently been spotted holidaying in London and Paris.
