brad pitt and angelina jolieBrad Pitt is reportedly carefully balancing spending time with partner Angelina Jolie and their new babies, son Knox Leon and daughter Vivienne Marcheline, and their existing children.

Brad was at Angelina’s side when she gave birth to the twins on Saturday at the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France but a source close to the family revealed that he’s spending as much time with sons Maddox & Pax, and daughters Zahara & Shiloh as he is with the new additions: “Angelina’s obviously been focusing on the babies and has been looking after them by herself in her hospital room and while Brad’s been visiting them on a regular basis, he is mainly concerned with how the others deal with their new siblings.

“They’re particularly worried about Shiloh because she might not really understand what the new babies mean to the family and her role in it. They’ve tried to involve both her and Zahara in the pregnancy all along and Zahara is saying that the girls should each take responsibility for one of the twins.”

Parenting expert Dr Susan Newman told OK magazine: “By spending time with the children, Brad is telling them they are very special to him and giving them a sense of security at a time when they may not be sure what their ’status’ in the family will be [now that the twins are here].”

Angelina is expected to leave hospital later this week, once the twins, who weighed in at 5lbs each, have gained some extra weight.
