pete dohertyA warrant has been issued for the arrest of Pete Doherty after he failed to show up for court yesterday.

Pete was originally scheduled to appear at Yeovil Magistrates Court last month but failed to show, and repeated his non-appearance at the rescheduled hearing yesterday causing a warrant to be formally issued for his arrest.

The Babyshambles frontman is required in court to enter a plea regarding a criminal damage case dating from August last year, when it’s claimed he chased a female photographer and pulled her camera from around her neck as she tried to photograph him and then girlfriend Irina Lazareanu in a shop in Somerset.

Earlier this year, Pete spent time in prison in London after violating drug and driving offence probation.
