britney spearsBritney Spears has agreed to up Kevin Federline’s child support payments by $15,000 as part of their custody settlement.

After 18 months of custody hearings, the couple finally reached a settlement this week in order to avoid a full custody trial next month. In the settlement, Kevin was awarded full custody of the couple’s boys, Sean and Jayden, with Britney allowed visitation access to the toddlers, who turn 2 and 3 in September.

Kevin’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan also demanded and received a payment of $250,000 from Britney for his work on the case.

A source told People magazine that even though Britney was said to have been vying for joint physical and legal custody, she was pleased with the settlement: “All Britney was seeking was a formalization of her increased visitation that she’s obtained over recent weeks, and the additional overnight. She won both of those requests.”
