Paul McCartney introduces his girlfriend to his inner circle

Paul McCartney has introduced girlfriend of eight months, Nancy Shevell to his “inner circle” of friends.

The former Beatle was first linked to the New York businesswoman last autumn then spotted holidaying with her to celebrate the finalisation of his divorce settlement in March - but only officially went public with their romance at the end of May.

A source told the Mirror that he arranged a special dinner to introduce Nancy to his most trusted friends ahead of a free gig in Quebec over the weekend: “He is clearly very much in love and was as proud as punch that it went so well.

“It was plain to see that their relationship has come on in leaps and bounds.

“Whereas his priority at first was to keep everything relatively low-key, now wants to show her off to all his pals. It went really well and Nancy was on sparkling form and charmed everyone.

“It’s clear that she’s now a part of his inner sanctum and accepted by everyone.”

After Paul played the gig, as part of the city’s 400th birthday celebrations, he and Nancy flew to Long Island, New York for a holiday at his home in the Hamptons.
