Christian Bale arrested over assaulting mum and sister

Christian Bale has been arrested after allegations that he assaulted his mum and sister at his London hotel.

Christian is said to have been visited by his mum Jenny and sister Sharon at the Dorcester Hotel on Sunday evening and yesterday the two women lodged a formal complaint about the actor with Hampshire police, who then passed it onto their London colleagues.

No action was taken ahead of yesterday’s The Dark Knight premiere in the city, but a spokesperson for the Metropolitan police said today: “A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment.

“He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault.”

(It is standard police procedure in the UK to arrest suspects before formal questioning begins and not to release the names until after charges have been made.)

His spokesperson has said Christian denies the charges but he “co-operated throughout [the questioning], gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police.”

Christian has been asked to return to the police station for further questioning in September.

Rubbish. Rumor has it that they insulted him and demanded that he “take care” of them financially now that he’s a “bigshot.” Of course, it’s just heresay at this point, but why on earth would he hurt his own mum during one of the most frenetic, important weeks of his life? I bet he was just trying to get one of them to stop bothering him, and in a case of revenge, they claimed assault and tried to ruin his reputation. It’s such rubbish.
