Mariah Carey denies marriage troubles: I’m ecstatic

Mariah Carey has dismissed claims that her marriage to husband Nick Cannon is already in trouble.

The couple married at the end of April after a month-long whirlwind romance and Mariah told MTV recently that ever since then, she’s heard constant rumours that “things are rocky and hazy and messed up”.

But, she insists, nothing is further from the truth: “Life is beautiful, and things are going well.

“[If it was like that] I’m like, ‘Why would we have gotten married?’

“People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don’t know.

“I’m ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me! Be happy with me. Can we celebrate [the love instead]?”
