Simon Pegg: I won’t play Doctor Who
Simon Pegg has said he won’t be stepping into David Tennant’s shoes/Tardis as the next Doctor Who.
David is said to be looking to move on from the BBC series and co-star Catherine Tate has hinted that he’ll leave after the next series - but Spaced star Simon has said that despite a love of sci-fi, he wouldn’t take the role.
He explained recently: “Being the Doctor? I don’t think so. First, I’m really loving doing movies. I’m really enjoying working in the US.
“Second, I really love Doctor Who and would hate to sit down on Saturday night and have it be me.
“David Tennant has done an incredible job - he’ll be a tough act to follow. I would feel awful if I messed up the franchise by just being rubbish.”
Do you think Katie Price's marriage to Alex Reid will last?
