Emily Mortimer: I had to be edited to look like a convincing action hero

Emily Mortimer has revealed producers of her new action film Transsiberian have had to use clever editing techniques to disguise her comical attempts at running.

Emily stars opposite Woody Harrelson and Ben Kingsley in the thriller but she explained recently that her sprints caused the biggest challenge for director Brad Anderson: “They told me I’m not actually that convincing when I’m running.

“Brad tells me that he really had to edit the hell out of the scene with me running away in the snow, because I look so bad.

“In fact, my friends will make me run for a bus to give themselves a cheap laugh. So I really do have to be edited a bit to be a convincing action heroine.”
